Short week, Happy Thanksgiving!

Landscapes Unlimited is on 12 Sabot now with the main line, cruising up the right side. The cold mornings haven't been pleasant but the sunny afternoons have made backfilling go smoothly.

The 3 inch main line that started on 10 has meet with the big 8" main now behind 11 green. To the left the 8" goes to 17 and to the right that 8" is going towards 12. The crew will be backfilling tomorrow and then be thankful for some rain on Friday so they can take a little break. Most will travel back home for Christmas to see their families.

Ben had the excavator up by the green on 12 early this week. Here is a before picture (always a rare site on the blog).

Ben cleaned out the old bentgrass and tied the edges in better to the surrounding slopes. The right side has already been sodded with the left over zoysia from the greens slope project and the left will get some tall fescue. The plan will be to put 2-3 rock features here to create some pools. The well behind the green has been piped all the way to this stream now and will provide some extra flow in the summer.

Sloan pulled one of the paver circle kits from the back lawn and repurposed it here behind the range tee. Craig had ordered a new table, chairs and amenity box a few weeks ago for this spot. I believe this will be an area where people can sit and talk about how to fix ballmarks correctly.

Efrain and Raul have been slowly changing out the older flagstones in favor of pavers under the water coolers. The cooler that was by 3 Manakin blue tee has been moved to the other side of the path and down towards the green tee. This reduces some congestion around the blue tee and will allow us to sod that mulch bed out with bermuda resulting in a much cleaner area through the season.

Joe almost has the old back patio canopy ready to go at our maintenance facility. He ended up just using new 8x8 posts concreted into the ground as opposed to the old aluminum posts sitting on footers. Next week should be fun wrestling the canvas back on the top. The crew is pretty excited to have a new outdoor eating area!

Enjoy the long weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
