2024 Cultural Event Schedule
November 2023 – March 2024 – Manakin bunker renovations on holes 4, 6, 7, 12, 15 and 16 as well as Manakin irrigation re-wiring holes 5 - 13
March 18th and 19th - Sabot Greens Aeration - .25" cores and topdressing sand
April 8th and 9th - Manakin Greens Aeration - .25" cores and topdressing sand
May 6th and 7th - Sabot Fairway Aeration - Solid tine aeration with compost in the rough
May 20th & 21st - Manakin Fairway Aeration - Solid tine aeration with compost in the rough
May 28th – Tuesday after Memorial Day – 18 holes open at 1pm
June 10th – 11th – Aeration on all 39 greens, small coring tines and very light topdressing. Each course closed one day.
July 1st Monday – 18 holes open at 1pm
July 15th - August 29th - Both courses closed until 3pm on Mondays
July 15th - 17th - Manakin Fairway Verticutting - verticut and sand topdressing
August 26th – 28th - Sabot greens aeration - 1/4" cores, verticut all fairways plus topdressing
September 3rd – Tuesday after Labor Day, 18 holes opens at 1pm
September 16th and 17th - Manakin greens aeration – 1/4" cores plus topdressing
Periodic light topdressings will occur on the greens and approaches in order to supplement the more significant events above and are not intended to impact play throughout the season.
